SO in discussing Totoro and then Maneki Neko with a coworker I realized that with all of his arms, Nekobus was just made to beckon luck! The sign he is holding is "ooiri" meaning "full house." As in many customers. I wanted to do a quick coloured pencil version of this but I will be doing another version that is digitally coloured in cel style. (because I want this on a t-shirt)
The back of the shirt will be the back view of this image (yet to be drawn.)
